Kitco, a large online bullion dealer appears to be completely sold out of Silver American Eagles – for the last several hours they have zero listed available on their website. (Update – 4/15/11 Kitco now has listed American Silver Eagles again in their online store.)
The supply of physical silver is still tight as a drum even as the price breaks through 31 year highs. We have seen dealers suspiciously run out of stock when prices take a dip, but believe me if Kitco had Eagles they would be selling them all day at these prices. As of this writing, Apmex still has plenty of American Silver Eagles left in stock for sale.
